Grief has been my companion since I was twelve, when I lost my father in the 9/11 attacks. That moment changed everything. For years, I searched for ways to make sense of loss—to talk about death without shame, to find meaning in the pain, and to discover light in the darkness.
Listen, grief sucks. I'm not here to say this is the magic answer. I just hope it offers guidance and can be a companion by your side.
That search led me to create DEAD Talks, a podcast where I’ve sat with hundreds of people—experts, survivors, and everyday humans—each sharing their own story of grief, healing, and hope. Through those conversations, I learned how isolating grief can be, and how deeply we all crave spaces to talk about it honestly.
I’ve come to understand that grief isn’t something you “get over.” It’s something you learn to live with—something that, over time, can evolve into gratitude and meaning. My approach blends empathy with humor, because sometimes the only way through the heaviness is to laugh at the absurdity of it all.
I created GriefJourney alongside Studio to bring together everything I’ve learned—my own experiences, the wisdom of my guests, and the rituals that have helped me and my community—into daily guides.
Whether it’s through reflection prompts, memory capsules, or a reminder to order dessert (because, let’s face it, none of us are getting out alive), my goal is to help you build a new relationship with loss, love, and life.
I’m committed to making conversations about grief normal, accessible, and even a little lighter. My hope is that GriefJourney offers you inspiration, connection, and courage to move forward—not by forgetting, but by remembering with love, and living more fully because of it.
